Welcome to our Children’s Ministry!
Our leaders are
Lana Ballard – Children’s Ministry Team Lead
Jackie Shewmaker – AWANA Ministry Team Lead
Our desire is to teach our children about God’s love for them and the great sacrifice Jesus made so they could be saved. We want to impact their lives by teaching them the timeless truths of God’s Word. Our dedicated caring leaders teach with age and developmentally appropriate curricula, and they all share a common love for children of all ages. At MSBC you can expect that your child will enter into both a safe and exciting environment in which they can learn about the love of Jesus Christ.
We believe that God has given parents the greatest charge of all…to personally disciple their children to be godly boys and girls. However, we recognize the responsibility that we share with parents in building a spiritual foundation for even the youngest children. At MSBC, we want to come along side our parents, and encourage and support them as they strive to bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
There are several opportunities for your child to get involved at MSBC:
- Sunday School – Age appropriate curricula is used to teach children life principles and what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
- AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) – AWANA is a Christian Club that teaches Biblical truths with an emphasis on Scripture memorization. The goal of AWANA is “to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.” This is done through a structured, creative, and fun program. Our AWANA Club meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:00-7:30
- Vacation Bible School – VBS is one of the most fulfilling weeks in the life of the Children’s Ministry of MSBC. Children of all ages are brought to the church were they learn to become disciples of Christ and learn ways to go and tell others the good news of Jesus.
- Summer Camp – Summer camps are enjoyed by children of all ages. Summer camps provide children a way to meet new people and enjoy exciting activities as they fellowship with other believers. Summer camp allows campers to get away from the distractions of the world and focus solely on Jesus.
