The Benevolence Ministry is a ministry designed to assist and minister to those in need. The Benevolence Ministry is not a loan service and we cannot make or give loans. This ministry is overseen by a Benevolence Committee, a group of believers within Mountain Springs Baptist Church that have a desire to reach out to those in need. The Benevolence Ministry has helped people with things such as medical needs, food, lodging, transportation, rent, utilities, clothing, and many other of life’s expenses. At Mountain Springs this ministry has been used to touch and change many lives and to help the needy or hurting people in the congregation or community.
People who wish to help others and give to this ministry may contribute. These funds are put into a special account and used only for helping the poor and/or needy. The Benevolence Committee will determine how these funds are best spent. Anyone with a legitimate financial need can benefit from our Benevolence ministry. They should be willing to accept financial counseling and be willing to help others when they get back on their feet. If you know anyone that is in need please let someone from the Benevolence Committee know, and they will determine whether or not the church can help. It is our goal to show the love of Jesus Christ to others in the community by helping as many people as we can.
